MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – A visit of the US Congress members to Belarus might take place by the end of the year, Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko told BelTA.

Members of the Belarusian delegation met with the US congressmen on the sidelines of the forum that took place in Berlin this summer. The US MPs spoke positively about Belarus and expressed their interest to visit the country, Vladimir Andreichenko said. “We sent them an invitation. Such a visit might be arranged by the end of the year,” the speaker noted.

Belarusian MPs are open for a dialogue with their US counterparts. “We will maintain contact anyway, because we have already been invited to take part in another parliamentary forum that will take place in Washington in December this year,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
