Transparency, predictability at core of Belarusian-Moldovan relations

Transparency, predictability at core of Belarusian-Moldovan relations

MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Moldova build relations on principles of transparency and predictability. Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip made the statement after meeting with Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov on 6 June, BelTA has learned.

According to Pavel Filip, Moldova highly appreciates the current level of relations with Belarus. “I would like to say that I view Belarus-Moldova cooperation as a fine example of constructive relations, which are based on mutual respect. It is necessary to note that our relations are built on principles of transparency and predictability,” said the Moldovan prime minister.

Pavel Filip remarked that he had had constructive talks with representatives of the Belarusian government. As a result of the meeting the sides agreed on ways to most effectively use the available interaction forms. “The current visit offers a good opportunity for exchanging opinions about the fulfillment of the agreements reached within the framework of Andrei Kobyakov’s visit to Chisinau in October 2016 and about the main avenues for advancing the bilateral cooperation,” believes Pavel Filip. “We proceed from the fact that the potential of Belarusian-Moldovan relations is far from being exhausted, particularly the trade and economic part.”

Participants of the meeting also discussed industrial cooperation projects. “We agreed to continue working together on assembling various Belarusian machines and vehicles in Moldova, including with possible export plans,” added Pavel Filip.
