ANKARA, 10 July (BelTA - Anadolu Agency) - Belarus seeks to develop strategic partnership with Turkey in all areas, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said in an interview with the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
“We expect the trade between Turkey and Belarus to reach $1 billion by the end of the year. We are planing joint projects in the automotive industry. We are ready to set up joint plants to produce trucks and harvesters,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said. These could be the joint ventures projects in Turkey, he added.
Belarus is eager to set up joint laboratories for quality control of meat and dairy products, the Belarusian parliament speaker said.
According to him, the positive ties between the two countries in the political sphere open up great opportunities for investors. Minsk is ready to support Turkish investors wishing to start businesses compliant with the Belarusian standards and to export products to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union without paying customs duties.
The Belarusian authorities are also prepared to provide Turkish companies land parcels in the Great Stone Industrial Park, Mikhail Myasnikovich added.
