MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – Russia and Belarus may sign an agreement on mutual recognition of visas in April-May 2018, Russia’s Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov told a press conference on 7 February, BelTA has learned.
“Experts continue consultations. In late January Belarus submitted its finalized draft agreement and suggested holding another round of consultations in Minsk. I think it will be the last one. We can state that the draft document is almost agreed and we believe it can be adopted in April-May 2018,” Alexander Surikov said.
In his words, the agreement will help address a number of issues related to the crossing of the Russian-Belarusian border by citizens of third countries.
