Rauland sees possibility of normalization of U.S.-Belarus relations in the future
MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) – I see the possibility of full normalization of Belarusian-American relations, U.S. Charge d’Affaires Scott Rauland said during a meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 6 July, BelTA has learned.
We are very proud of the progress we have made here over the past two years. We would like to thank you and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which has cooperated with us on many issues. We hope that this gives a positive impetus to full normalization of relations in the future, the diplomat said.
Washington wanted me to convey to you that we are ready to further cooperate with Belarus so that we could have a good future. The main thing is that the territorial sovereignty and independence of Belarus should be at the highest and strong level, Scott Rauland said.
