MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) - Turkey is ready to work together with Belarus in the markets of Africa and the Middle East, Turkey Prime Minister Binali Yildirim told the media after the talks with Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov in Minsk on 14 February, BelTA has learned.
“We fully support the initiative of Belarus to advance to the markets in Africa and the Middle East through joint investments. We also encourage our companies to undertake activities in the competitive sectors in the special economic zones in Belarus,” Binali Yildirim said.
The Turkish prime minister does not view the current level of cooperation as the maximum one in the bilateral relations. This is just one of the steps for further development of the partnership, he said. In his view, the trade of almost $1 billion does not reflect the potential of the Belarusian-Turkish relations.
Binali Yildirim took note of the mutual understanding between the two countries, both in the bilateral relations and on regional and international issues.
On 15 February, the prime ministers of the two countries will take part in Belarusian-Turkish Business Forum. Binali Yildirim believes it is important to hear the issues faced by the business communities and to contribute to their solution at the high level.
