MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia’s Bashkortostan are working hard to stimulate business activity, establish and expand new business contacts, Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at the opening ceremony of the Belarus-Bashkortostan Business Forum, BelTA has learned.
“On behalf of the government of Belarus, I am very happy to welcome everyone to the Belarus-Bashkortostan Business Forum. This is the first time in my memory that the Palace of the Republic - one of the signature facilities of our capital - has hosted a business forum. This is due to the importance that we attach to it and your active role in promoting business contacts,” said Roman Golovchenko.
According to him, this event is designed to give a boost to the economies of Bashkortostan and Belarus. “More than 400 business people representing various fields - energy, agriculture, manufacturing, construction and services sector - are taking part in this event. There is a reason behind such a keen interest. This is the result of consistent work of the governments of Bashkortostan and Belarus to encourage business activity, establish and expand new business contacts,” the prime minister emphasized.
