BRATISLAVA, 27 April (BelTA) – Belarus counts on Slovakian assistance in the Belarus-EU dialogue, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said following the negotiations with Slovakia Prime Minister Robert Fico, BelTA has learned.
“We are grateful to Slovakia for their consistent position regarding the normalization of Belarus-EU relations. We count on further assistance of the Slovakian side in promoting mutually beneficial Belarus-EU cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Initiative,” Andrei Kobyakov noted.
Following the negotiations, Andrei Kobyakov and Robert Fico signed an intergovernmental agreement on Belarus-Slovakia scientific and technological cooperation. Another memorandum was signed between the State Standardization Committee of Belarus and the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing. A package of documents is expected to be signed during the Belarus-Slovakia business forum.
