MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – Plans have been made to sign Declaration on Partnership for Mobility between Belarus, the European Union and other parties concerned in Luxembourg in October, Jean Asselborn, Foreign and European Affairs Minister of Luxembourg, told reporters after his meeting with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on 14 September, BelTA has learned.

“Three times a year – in April, June and October – the European Council convenes not only in Brussels, but also in Luxembourg. The signing of the agreement is scheduled for October. The ceremony will be attended by the interior ministers and a number of other ministers,” Jean Asselborn said. He believes that the document will contribute to rapprochement between Belarus and the Europe Union.

Vladimir Makei added that the signing of the document will be another step in cooperation against common challenges and threats.
