BRUSSELS, 18 January (BelTA-TASS) – The Minsk Agreements should be implemented by all the parties to the conflict in Ukraine, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini said at the press conference following the EU Council in Brussels.

“The Minsk Agreements should be implemented by all the parties,” she said.

At the same time Federica Mogherini stressed that “Minsk” was not discussed by the ministers of foreign affairs.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs stated that efforts on the political regulation in Syria should be taken in Geneva. “The political talks in Geneva should start between the Syrian parties,” she said stressing that the EU fully supports the work of UN Special Envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura.

Federica Mogherini added that it is important to ensure the improvement of the humanitarian situation in Syria in parallel with the political process.
