MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – In Q1 2022 the Belarusian national budget was implemented within the planned parameters, Finance Minister Yuri Seliverstov said as he delivered a report to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on the country’s current fiscal policy on 22 April, BelTA has learned.
“In general, in the first quarter of the year, the budget was performed within the planned parameters, with the revenue reaching Br6.7 billion, up Br1.1 billion compared with the same stretch a year ago,” the minister reported.
In Q1 2022 the budget spending totaled Br6 billion. “If we exclude one-time decisions to support the BMZ last year, the national budget expenditures are generally comparable with the last year’s figures,” the minister added.
According to him, the budget policy priorities include people's incomes, national defense and security financing, purchase of medicines and support of the agro-industrial complex.
The budget surplus made up Br662 million over the period.
