MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – We have sufficient resources for uninterrupted operation of the healthcare system amid COVID-19, Belarus’ Finance Minister Maksim Yermolovich said as he addressed the parliament on 16 April, BelTA has learned.

“As of today healthcare facilities have enough resources to operate in the current difficult epidemiological situation. The Finance Ministry timely finances these expenses,” Maksim Yermolovich said.

According to him, the budget will be amended taking into account healthcare spending in the future. “No such amendments are needed today. The entire annual amount of funding is available for healthcare authorities and institutions,” the minister stressed.

Healthcare expenditures are financed within the 2020 budget. “The Finance Ministry has enough powers to finance these expenditures ahead of schedule. We approve all the applications that come from the Healthcare Ministry,” Maksim Yermolovich noted.

Work with local budgets has been organized in the same way. There will be no problems with the proper operation of the healthcare system, the minister concluded.
