MOGILEV, 12 May (BelTA) – The Union State Council of Ministers will discuss all the economic issues, including those related to the energy sector, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said as he met with his Belarusian counterpart Andrei Kobyakov ahead of the Union State Council of Ministers meeting on 12 May, BelTA has learned.
“We will discuss every issue that pertains to the economic and trade sector, including energy and some others, the projects we are implementing, future plans. We hope the talks will be successful,” said Dmitry Medvedev.
He welcomed the idea to host the Union State Council of Ministers meetings in different cities of Russia and Belarus. “This time we are in Mogilev. We are here for the first time. It is a big Belarusian center with a high trade turnover with Russia,” the Russian PM said.
The agenda of the meeting includes 27 issues. The main block is about trade and economic cooperation. The meeting will discuss the action plan to establish additional conditions for the development of trade and economic cooperation, the medium-term socio-economic development forecast of the Union State, and will consider the supply and demand forecasts for essential products in 2016.
The participants to the meeting will review the scientific and technical programs of the Union State “Development and creation of new-generation micro-system engineering and dual-use integrated systems for 2010-2014 and will consider the draft concepts of some five-year programs.
