Lukashenko wants probable adversaries to stay on good terms with Belarus

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian army threatens no one and is a tool for preventing wars. The army should be capable of repulsing an aggression if it happens. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement at a session of Belarus’ Security Council on 12 December, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “We will also take certain preemptive actions so that our probable adversaries and rivals could understand that they’d better not mess with us, that they should play nice with us. The entire policy of our state is geared towards that.”

The president remarked that the Belarusian army threatens no one and represents a tool for preventing wars. The army should be capable of repulsing an aggression if it happens. “It is the main intended purpose of the military organization of the state,” the commander-in-chief pointed out.
