MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ population should be two or three times larger, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting with the members of the public, representatives of the Belarusian and foreign mass media on 3 February, BelTA informs.
“Belarus’ population should be two or three times larger. People are the main force of the country,” the President stressed.
In this context, the state will continue supporting families with many children. At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that families with many children should not sit idly and count only on the president’s support.
“The state must help, and we are doing it. If we have more money, we will provide more support,” the President noted.
The support of the military will also remain one of the priorities for the state. “At any moment a soldier will execute an order and sacrifice his life. There should be an opportunity for them to have their own housing where they can live and bring up children,” the head of state said.
