MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – Belarusian healthcare professionals took part in a video conference on 28 October to discuss healthcare delivery amidst COVID-19. Taking part in the conference were senior officials of the Healthcare Ministry and regional health authorities, leading healthcare facilities and Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova, BelTA has learned.
Natalya Kochanova discussed the work of healthcare providers of various levels - from first-aid stations to national healthcare centers.
“We must take all measures to provide qualified medical assistance to people. Your reports suggest that we have enough hospital beds in every region. Whenever inpatient treatment is not needed, patients should receive professional outpatient care,” the chair of the Council of the Republic said.
According to her, healthcare facilities have enough personal protective equipment and medicines. “If you have any questions, feel free to contact us,” Natalya Kochanova said addressing the heads of healthcare facilities. “I will join such conferences every week to get firsthand information, although I get updates every day,” she added.
