MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) - The documents signed during the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Belarus will consolidate the friendship between the two countries, Belarus Vice Prime Minister Natalia Kochanova told BelTA.
"For our country the visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China was very important. The parties signed a variety of agreements, contracts, memoranda, which will contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations and their development in the field of economy. It is essential that this visit took place in the days when we celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. When visiting the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War, the Chinese leader presented the Medals of Peace to 15 our veterans who fought the Japanese aggressors at the end of the Second World War,” the Vice Premier said.
Among the most important events organized during the official visit were the business forum and the visit by the Chinese leader to the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. "The agreements will become a strong incentive to deepen the cooperation between our countries who are friends and who have supported each other for many years,” she said.
