MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) - Belarus and Moldova have been building cooperation relying on concrete actions, Moldova’s Prime Minister Pavel Filip said during the meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on 1 November, BelTA has learned.
"When we talk about cooperation between the two countries or diplomatic and political relations, people see these words as a standard phrase that you hear on TV or read in a press release. But we showed concrete actions,” Pavel Filip said.
As an example, he cited the recent launch of direct flight between the capitals of the two countries. Moldova’s prime minister was one of its first passengers. “I am absolutely sure that it will be in demand. There are many good connections both in Chisinau and in Minsk,” he said.
Pavel Filip also named supplies of Belarusian machinery to Moldova as another area of successful cooperation. “Belarusian trolleybuses plying in Chisinau streets is a result of good relations between our countries,” the prime minister stressed.
He added that during his visit to Belarus he met with the leadership of the Belarusian government. The parties discussed the projects which are currently underway and also outlined new promising areas of cooperation. “We have a plan of action and follow every project so that all of them were implemented in time,” said Pavel Filip.
