VITEBSK, 13 July (BelTA) – Moldova and Belarus will always be connected by friendly relations, BelTA learned from Moldova President Igor Dodon during the solemn opening ceremony of the 26th international art festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 13 July.
Igor Dodon noted: “Dear friends, it is a great honor for me to greet you on behalf of my country’s leadership, on behalf of the Moldovan nation for the first time in 26 years. This forum has become internationally recognized. It is this forum that has launched the careers of famous artists from dozens of countries, including Moldova.”
Igor Dodon stressed that all of that had become possible thanks to the hospitality of the Belarusian nation. “I think guests and participants will agree with me. I would like to thank Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko and the Belarusian nation for the hospitality and organization of this great and beautiful event,” said the Moldova president.
“We have a lot in common with Belarusian friends. We have a common victory in the Great Patriotic War. We have always been friends and I am sure that we will enjoy friendship relations in the future. I would like to wish success and good luck to all the participants. We will root for every one of you,” concluded Igor Dodon.
