Belarusian vehicles, equipment crucial to Moscow infrastructure development

Belarusian vehicles, equipment crucial to Moscow infrastructure development

MOSCOW, 6 December (BelTA) – It is impossible to develop Moscow’s infrastructure without Belarusian vehicles and equipment, including high-tech ones, BelTA learned from Sergei Cheremin, a Moscow government minister, Head of the Foreign Economic and International Ties Department, during the fourth Eurasian economic congress on 6 December.

The official said: “Belarus is a strategic partner of old. The development of the Moscow infrastructure and the city as a whole is unimaginable without Belarusian trolleybuses, without the machines that clean our streets, without suburban trains. I’d like to note that those are high-tech trains, which are few and far between even on European Union railways.”

According to the Moscow government minister, Belarus is now Moscow’s fourth largest foreign trade partner. In his opinion, Belarus-Moscow trade will be close to $6 billion in 2017. The trade turnover continues rising steadily, noted Sergei Cheremin.

In his words, Belarus-Moscow cooperation moves forward virtually across the board. Sergei Cheremin singled out microelectronics, transport engineering, and municipal services. “We closely cooperate with our Belarusian colleagues not only at the level of the capitals but the regions of Belarus as well,” he added.
