MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Today Belarus is the most advanced agricultural country in the Customs Union, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture of Majilis of Kazakhstan Parliament Romin Madinov told reporters before the meeting with members of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
"Kazakhstan would like to examine the practical experience of the Belarusian agricultural enterprises, because Belarus is the most advanced agricultural country in the Customs Union today. The country has the highest milk yields, the highest percentage of farm exports. We have something to learn from you,” said Romin Madinov.
The Kazakhstan parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture of Majilis Romin Madinov is in Belarus on a visit from 9 to 13 July.
Today the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus is hosting a joint meeting of the permanent commission on agrarian policy the House of Representatives, the permanent commission on environment, natural resources and Chernobyl and the parliamentary delegation from Kazakhstan. The parties will discuss the status and prospects of the Belarusian-Kazakhstan parliamentary cooperation and other issues of bilateral cooperation.
In addition, the MPs from Kazakhstan will visit Minsk Vegetable Factory on 9 July, Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) and the Scientific and Practical Center for Arable Farming at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on 10 July.
