MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) – Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Thomas Greminger thanked Belarus for the huge contribution to the work of the OSCE as he met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on 9 October, BelTA has learned.
The OSCE secretary general noted that Belarus hosts meetings of the trilateral contact group to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. “You provide organizational support for the meetings of this important group but you also provide very important political support," he said.
According to Thomas Greminger, Belarus is among the few countries that build bridges. “This is especially important today when disagreements between the East and the West continue growing,” he added.
