MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to take all necessary steps to boost cooperation with Venezuela, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko told the media after the meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro on 5 October, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus attaches great importance to the relations with this Latin American country and is ready to make every necessary step to boost fruitful bilateral cooperation,” the head of state said.
Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that the current official visit of Nicolas Maduro to Belarus will promote partnership between the two countries in all the areas.
The two presidents shared opinions on the key areas of political and economic cooperation, outlines future prospects. “We have also discussed a number of promising joint projects that will secure Belarus’ participation in the development of the Venezuelan economy, including its construction, agriculture, mechanical engineering, oil and gas industry,” the Belarusian leader said.
