Belarus interested in multidimensional cooperation with Germany

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in developing multidimensional cooperation with Germany, Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko said at a meeting of the German-Belarusian Economic Club in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting highlighted the prospects of Belarus’ relations with the EU and Germany in particular. The deputy minister made a speech as a guest of honor to speak about the dynamism of the Belarusian-European and the Belarusian-German cooperation in various areas.

Oleg Kravchenko also answered the questions on the prospects of Belarus-EU cooperation, including within the Eastern Partnership (EaP), Belarus’ approaches in the preparations for the EaP summit in Brussels in November. The deputy minister emphasized the important role of Germany in advancing the dialogue with the European structures and stressed Belarus’ unchanging interest in developing multidimensional cooperation with Germany.

The German-Belarusian Economic Club is a business association that unites German companies working in Belarus and also other enterprises that are closely related to the German market. The club was founded in Germany in 2006. Its representative office in Minsk was opened in the same year.

The club represents the interests of its members in the host country, Belarus, and promotes a dialogue and economic relations between its members and also between its members and Belarusian institutions, organizations and officials.
