Belarus highly appreciates Fidel Castro’s contribution to Belarus-Cuba relations
HAVANA, 30 November (BelTA) – Belarus highly appreciates the contribution of Fidel Castro to the friendly relations between Belarus and Cuba, special representative - Head of the Belarus President’s Property Management Directorate Viktor Sheiman said at the farewell ceremony for the leader of the Cuban revolution.
The ceremony took place near the Jose Marti Memorial in Revolution Square in Havana.
“It is with deep pain that we bid farewell to the great leader of the Cuban revolution, our friend Fidel,” Viktor Sheiman said.
According to Viktor Sheiman, the life of Fidel Castro was an example for many fighters for the independence of their nations.
On the night of 29 November heads of state and government of many countries took part in the farewell ceremony for Fidel Castro who died at the age of 90 at 22:29 (3:29 GMT) on 25 November.
