MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) - Belarus is determined to implement all agreements with Sudan, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said during the talks with Sudan President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir on 10 December, BelTA informs.
“I want to assure you that we are determined to implement all the agreements as quickly as the Sudanese side wants,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
The head of state recalled his visit to Khartoum in January 2017. “Back then we managed to reach a number of agreements which, of course, will advance our cooperation to a very high level. At least we will be able to lay the foundation of our relations with the help of these agreements,” the president emphasized.
Alexander Lukashenko added that the decision to arrive in Minsk from Khartoum where the heat is above 30°C in December is a bold one. “I am very happy that you came to Belarus in winter. Although today is not a truly winter day, but it is cold enough to feel in the North,” the Belarusian leader remarked.
