MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – Minsk is becoming a brand associated with stability and peace, BelTA learned from Armenia President Armen Sarkissian on 1 November.

“The word ‘Minsk’ is becoming an international brand associated with stability and peace,” said Armen Sarkissian.

The Armenian president reminded that the OSCE group on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is called the Minsk Group. He said he hopes that one day that conflict would be finally resolved and the necessary papers would be signed in the Belarusian capital city.

Armen Sarkissian remarked it was not accidental that the meeting of the Core Group of the Munich Security Conference was taking place in Minsk. “It was an absolute success. It touched upon many problems facing Europe and Asia,” he said.

A meeting of the Core Group of the Munich Security Conference is scheduled to take place in Minsk on 30 October – 1 November.
