MINSK, 5 August (BelTA) – Belarus’ Aliaksandra Sasnovich returned back to Top 100 in the recently published WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian went up three spots to the 98th.
Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus remained 3rd after reaching the semifinal in Washington. Belarus’ Victoria Azarenka, who lost to Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinal, goes 19th. This week the two leading Belarusian tennis players will compete in the Canadian Open. Victoria Azarenka will open her run in Montreal against Russia’s world number 29 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Aryna Sabalenka will kick off her campaign in the second round.
