MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) - The third season of the sports and cultural festival “Vytoki. A Step Towards Olympus” will kick off in Gomel Oblast in 2023. The host city will be Zhlobin on 19-20 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee.
The workshop on the first day will discuss the topical issues of training athletes and ways to solve them. It will draw together specialists of the Belarusian State University of Physical Education and the Higher School of Coaches, and sports organizations of Gomel Oblast. The Belarusian Olympic Academy will also organize a workshop for preschool and general secondary education institutions.
One of the main streets of the city will host an artistic drawing interactive organized by the ArtHaos gallery. The evening program of the festival will be opened by the musical "How the night has turned into a girl" by the Youth Variety Theater. The first day of the festival will end with the screening of the famous sports film in an open-air cinema.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for the second day. It will be followed by the Olympic quest. Everyone under the age of 14 will have an opportunity to take part in sports competitions, test their capabilities in various sports, do tasks and receive valuable prizes. Sports sites will be set up in more than 25 sports. Zhlobin will also host the final of the regional leg of the new intellectual and educational project "Vytoki. Quiz" that will bring together teams from each district of Gomel Oblast. The project will continue in every city.
The entertainment program of the festival will open with a show of apparel collections by Belarusian manufacturers, designers and entrepreneurs. This year, the cultural program includes a new song lyrics contest "Poems about life important things". The festival will also feature a vocal competition. Laureates will be awarded diplomas and prizes.
The festival program in Zhlobin will wrap up with an evening gala concert featuring popular Belarusian pop artists.
The sports and cultural festival Vytoki. A step Towards Olympus” will travel to Baranovichi (2-3 June), Slonim (16-17 June), Glubokoye (23-24 June), Kostyukovichi (18-19 August) and Borisov (25-26 August).
