MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – VAL will represent Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, after winning the Belarusian national selection final. The final show was broadcast live on 29 February, BelTA reports.
The VAL project consists of Valeria Gribusova and Vladislav Pashkevich. The winner was decided by a 50/50 combination of an expert jury and a public televoting. VAL scored 20 points out of 24 with their act Da Vidna.
Twelve artists competed for the ticket to Rotterdam. The second place was shared by Chakras and Yan Yarosh who scored 18 points each.
The jury panel was composed of professional musicians, producers and past Eurovision participants.
The 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The Belarusian contestant will perform in the first semi-final on 12 May. The second semi-final will take place on 14 May. The final show will be held on 16 May.
