MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) and China’s Hangzhou Dianzi University intend to work together to train cybersecurity specialists, BelTA learned from BSUIR Rector Mikhail Batura.
A joint curriculum will be developed over the course of the next academic year, said the rector. The curriculum will include roughly the same number of Belarusian and Chinese disciplines. “Once the curriculum is approved by the Belarusian and Chinese education ministries, we will start training specialists,” said the official.
The students will be taught in Belarus and China. Upon graduation they will get diplomas of both universities.
The agreement to enable cooperation in education between the two universities was signed as a delegation of the Chinese university visited Belarus on 24 July. The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and the Hangzhou Dianzi University signed a memorandum of understanding in October 2015.
