MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – The 2017 Viva Rovar bike festival will gather up to 15,000 participants in Minsk’s Victory Park on 13 May, head of the sports and tourism department of the Minsk City Hall Sergei Furmanov said at a meeting in the Minsk City Hall on 2 May, BelTA has learned.
The number of participants increases every year. “In 2015 taking part in the festival were 5,000 bikers. The figure exceeded 9,000 participants in 2016. It is expected that the forthcoming event will gather about 15,000 people,” said Sergei Furmanov.
In 2017 Viva Rovar bike festival turns international. It is open to everyone who wishes to take part: organizations, clubs, teams, individuals. In order to take part, one should register on the internet page of the event before 10 May.
The festival is organized by the Sports and Tourism Ministry, Minsk City Hall, the Belarusian Cycling Federation, Minsk Cycling Club, and Minsk cycling society.
