The Match: Belarus’ Hanna Malyshik 2nd in hammer throw

MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) - Belarus’ Hanna Malyshik threw 72.70m to place second in the women’s hammer throw at The Match Europe v USA in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

Joanna Fiodorow of Poland secured a win with a 74.34m effort. Brooke Andersen of the United States was third with 72.59m.

Hanna Malyshik said after the competition that she hoped to show her best but failed to make her fans happy. She added that she would continue her preparation for the IAAF World Championships in Doha.
