MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarusian rhythmic gymnasts clinched eight medals at the 2016 FIG Grand Prix in Thea, France, BelTA has learned.
Leader of the Belarusian national rhythmic gymnastics team Melitina Staniouta won the All-Around bronze medal with the total of 73,917 points. Yekaterina Galkina of Belarus finished 6th with 71,650 points. Melitina Staniouta also grabbed silver with the Ribbon and three bronze medals with the Hoop, Ball and Clubs finals.
In the group events the Belarusian team of Maria Kadobina, Anna Dudenkova, Valeria Pishchelina, Maria Kotyak, Ksenia Cheldyshkina and Arina Tsitsilina claimed the All-Around silver medal. The Belarusian team also collected gold and silver in the final routines.
The next World Cup leg will take place in Pesaro, Italy on 1-3 April.
