MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – Belarusian swimmers won six medals at the Vladimir Salnikov Cup in St. Petersburg, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Swimming Federation.
Ilya Shimanovich won the Salnikov Cup Grand Prix, scoring the maximum number of points in the 100m breaststroke, clocking 56.04. The Belarusian athlete clocked 25.67 seconds in the 50m breaststroke to take the second gold.
Grigory Pekarsky added a third gold setting a new national record of 22.37 seconds in the 50m butterfly.
The Belarusian team of Viktar Staselovich, Ilya Shimanovich, Anastasia Kuleshova and Anastasia Koryakovskaya clocked 1:38.83 to secure the title in the mixed 4×50m medley relay.
Viktar Staselovich also collected silver in the 50m backstroke (23.45). Alina Zmushka claimed silver in the 50m breaststroke (30.26).
