MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) – Belarusian judokas won six medals at the European Judo Open Men & Women in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
On the first day of the competitions Darya Skrypnik (52kg) claimed gold, while Daniela Kazanoi and Dmitry Minkov collected bronze in the 63kg and 66kg weight category respectively.
On the second day Egor Voropayev took the champion title in the 90kg weight category. Gold also went to Vladislav Terpitsky (+100kg). World leader Marina Slutskaya of Belarus (+78kg) claimed silver.
Belarus topped the medal standings. Taking part in the competitions were nearly 400 athletes from 52 countries. The competitions were organized by the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry, the Minsk City Hall, the National Olympic Committee and the Belarusian Judo Federation.
