Sasnovich passes first-round test in Linz

MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 92 Aliaksandra Sasnovich secured a solid win, 6-3, 6-1, over U.S. world number 61 Bernarda Pera to reach the second round of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz on 9 November, BelTA has learned.

On 10 November, Belarusian world number 11 Aryna Sabalenka will take on Italy’s world number 94 Jasmine Paolini.

Belarus’ world number 81 Egor Gerasimov will open its ATP Sofia Open campaign against Serbia’s world number 194 Viktor Troicki. In the doubles opener the Belarusian-Israeli tandem of Andrei Vasilevsky and Jonathan Erlich will play the Monaco-France duo of Hugo Nys and Fabrice Martin.

The tournament in Linz will be over on 14 November, the one in Sofia — on 15 November.
