Sabalenka, Mertens advance to Australian Open doubles semifinal

MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka and Elise Mertens of Belgium eased past the Japanese duo of Ena Shibahara and Shuko Aoyama 6-2, 6-0 for a spot in the doubles semifinal at the Australian Open, BelTA has learned.

Aryna Sabalenka and Elise Mertens will next face the fourth-seeded team of Nicole Melichar (USA) and Demi Schuurs (the Netherlands).
