MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – A center of traditional Chinese medicine will be set up in Minsk Oblast. The main healthcare department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee and the department of Chinese traditional medicine of China’s Zhejiang Province will sign a relevant protocol of intent in Minsk on 27 October, BelTA learned from the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.
The center will advance the cooperation in healthcare between the regions of Belarus and China. Minsk Oblast and China’s Zhejiang Province signed an agreement to establish relations of friendship on 10 May 2015.
The Belarusian and Chinese sides have assumed certain obligations. For instance, the main healthcare department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee will supply the center of traditional Chinese medicine with equipment for diagnosis and treatment. The Chinese partners, for their part, will send some two or three traditional medicine specialists to Minsk Oblast every year. They will treat patents and share their practices with Belarusian doctors.
A delegation of the department of Chinese traditional medicine of Zhejiang Province is currently in Belarus on a visit that will run through 30 October. The program of the visit is eventful. The delegation will meet with representatives of the Belarusian Health Ministry and the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, and visit a number of Belarusian healthcare establishments.
