Over 6.5m Belarusians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – Over 6.61 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, of them over 6.5 million have completed the vaccination regimen, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

Over 899,300 people completed the vaccination regimen in Brest Oblast, over 797,600 in Vitebsk Oblast, over 983,300 in Gomel Oblast, over 702,600 in Grodno Oblast, over 996,200 in Minsk Oblast, over 695,200 in Mogilev Oblast, and over 1.31 million in the city of Minsk.

More than 114,000 employees of organizations and institutions have completed the vaccination process. More than 214,700 children and teenagers aged 5-17 have received one shot of the vaccine, of them more than 190,200 have been fully vaccinated.

Thus, 71.4% of the country’s population have received one dose of the vaccine, 70.2% have been fully vaccinated.

Belarusians are also getting booster shots of the vaccine, with 53.6% of the population having received them so far.
