MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – More than 4,000 people from various countries took part in the first online festival Paulinka on Kupalle. The event took place on online platforms of the Yanka Kupala Theater – the official website and the YouTube channel. It was held on 6-12 July and was timed to the birth of Yanka Kupala, BelTA learned from the theater.
“People from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, the United States, Poland, Italy, Japan, Hungary and other countries participated in the festival online,” the theater said.
Within a week, participants could go on a tour of the theater, listen to the orchestra’s performance, visit the Yanka Kupala Museum in Vyazynka online, learn how to weave wreaths and to dance folk dances.
The project was implemented with financial support of the Culture Ministry. The general partner of the Yanka Kupala Theater is Mastercard, the partner of the museum is Belgosstrakh.
