MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) - Belarusian rower Tatsiana Klimovich continues her women’s single sculls run at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, BelTA has learned.
The Tuesday competition program at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium opened with the women’s single sculls quarterfinal heats. Tatsiana Klimovich competed in Quarterfinal 2 against rowers from Vietnam, Mexico, the Netherlands, Germany and Paraguay. Karolien Florijn of the Netherlands won the heat, with Germany’s Alexandra Foester finishing second. Tatsiana Klimovich clocked 7:34.30 to place third and advance to the semifinal. A total of 12 athletes moved to the next stage.
Belarus’ Yauheni Zalaty is set to compete in the men’s single sculls quarterfinals on 30 August. The semifinals are scheduled for 1 August.
