MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) - The state-run company Mingorspravka plans to open another two information kiosks for tourists in the first half of 2018, director of the company Borisov Vasiliyev said at a meeting in the Minsk City Hall on 12 February, BelTA has learned.
One information kiosk will be deployed in the Minsk National Airport (it is to open in the first quarter), the other at 11 Bogdanovicha Street where guests will be able to purchase Minsk Guest Cards.
Similar information kiosks operate at the railway station and in the Upper Town where tourists can learn more about the Belarusian capital and the country, plan their travel routes, acquire guidebooks, tickets for concerts and theaters. The information kiosk in the Upper Town has a multimedia screen showing videos about Belarus and Minsk.
The work on opening information kiosks is conducted together with the Minsk information and tourist center and is aimed at promoting the tourism potential of the city.
Minsk Guest Card offers free admission to 11 museums and the zoo, 50% discounts to 20 more objects: museums, excursions and aquaparks. Discounts up to 20% are offered by hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops, car rentals. The card can be used as an electronic ticket for public transport.
