MOGILEV, 10 January (BelTA) – The 16th edition of the International Youth Theater Forum M@rt.Contact will be held in Mogilev on 21-27 March. The playbill features about 23 shows from ten countries, deputy chairman of the Mogilev regional administration, head of the organizing committee Andrei Kuntsevich told a press conference on 10 January, BelTA has learned.
“The program is packed and includes shows of different genres, which will attract large audiences. Tickets will go on sale on 15 January. We hope that M@rt.Contact 2019 will become a driver for new initiatives and artistic growth and will promote international contacts,” Andrei Kuntsevich said.
This year M@rt.Contact has invited the theater groups that were the highlights of the festival in previous years, new theaters and creative groups from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Poland, Israel and other countries.
The forum will traditionally feature workshops for young actors and young filmmakers. Theater critics will choose the Even of the Forum while audience will vote for the best performance.
The project started in 2006. Since then the forum has become one of the most important cultural events not only in Mogilev but also entire Belarus. The festival has shown more than 200 performances from 21 countries which have been watched by more than 40,000 people.
The founders of the forum are the Ministry of Culture, Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee, Mogilev Regional Drama Theater.
