GRODNO, 6 June (BelTA) – A mobile app has been developed for the M6 Minsk-Grodno motorway. It will be presented soon, representatives of the Sport and Tourism Office of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee told BelTA.
The mobile app caters both to Belarusian travelers and foreign guests. It was jointly developed by a Belarusian IT company and the Sport and Tourism Office of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee. It can give directions and contains information about all the places of interest in Grodno Oblast up to 50km away from the motorway. The app also offers information about refueling stations, public catering outlets, hotels and hostels, rest sites, ATMs, intercity transport stops, bus stations, healthcare institutions, and Wi-Fi hotspots. Apart from that, the app shows whereabouts of traffic police posts and vehicle service stations on the motorway and in nearby towns and cities.
A demo version of the app is already available. The user interface will be available in Russian and English. The app is being filled with the necessary information now and will soon be made available for downloading.
Places of interest will have their own specific category such as, for instance, cafes and restaurants. Every place will have an address, a menu, and contact phones. The app will come bundled with filters to allow users to chart their own course.
The development of a mobile app targeting the Augustow Canal continues in Grodno. Several promo videos about key attractions in the region are in development as well.
