MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Austria’s Philipp Oswald went off to a good start at BMW Open by FWU (the Bavarian International Tennis Championships) in Munich, Germany, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian-Austrian duo defeated the German tandem of Daniel Masur and Rudolf Molleker 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 to reach the quarterfinal.

In Khimki, Moscow Belarus’ world number 111 Vera Lapko advanced to the women’s singles quarterfinal after seeing off Olga Doroshina of Russia (World No.312) 7-5, 6-1.

In Prague Lidziya Marozava of Belarus and Romania’s Michaela Buzarnescu will face the American-Mexican duet of Desirae Krawczyk and Giuliana Olmos in the second doubles round.
