MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Minsk is in the top three most popular CIS cities to spend summer vacations, BelTA learned from the Russian online booking service Tvil.ru.

The ranking is based on the analysis of accommodation bookings from 1 June to 31 August. Apart from Minsk, top on the list are Astana, Almaty, Baku and Yerevan.

Minsk is among the leaders in terms of excursions and cultural activities. The average stay in Minsk is 3.5 days. Of the CIS top travel destinations, accommodation is most expensive in Astana and the cheapest in Yerevan.

According to surveys, Minsk is attractive to tourists due to its cuisine and Soviet-style architecture, museums and excursions.
