MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) – Minsk has been named among the top three of the CIS cities with the best Christmas markets, BelTA learned from the TurStat analytical agency.
Russia, Belarus, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are hosting the most popular New Year and Christmas markets in December 2019 – January 2020.
The top five markets include the Journey into Christmas festival in Moscow, the Christmas market in Saint Petersburg, New Year and Christmas markets in Minsk, Yerevan, and Baku.
“Minsk Christmas markets feature wooden stalls offering street food, sweets, mulled wine, and presents, photo zones, alleys of winter houses, and corridors of lights,” the agency noted.
The ranking takes into account popularity and the unique character of New Year and Christmas markets and festivals.
