Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets will make a greeting speech at the plenary session. Minsk Vice Mayor Zhanna Birich will present the industrial potential of the Belarusian capital, while its capacity for innovation will be showcased by Director of the Minsk Technopark Vladimir Davidovich. Minsk tourism potential will be presented by Director of the Minsk Information and Tourism Center Yelena Plis. The activity of the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be demonstrated by its Director General Alexander Fedorchuk.

Andrei Shorets and Zhanna Birich will hold talks with representatives of the Milan City Hall. Minsk and Italian companies will discuss mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Universal Exposition is the biggest international platform where each participating country demonstrates its economic and scientific progress, lifestyle, traditions, culture, tourism potential, technical and technological solutions. It was first held in 1851. The motto of the Expo Milano 2015 is Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. Partaking in the exhibition, which runs from 1 May through 31 October, are 145 countries. Some pavilions have been presented by big companies and non-governmental organizations. The expo has occupied an area of over 1.7 million square meters in northeast Milan.
