Match Europe v USA winners awarded at Dinamo Stadium

MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – The Europe vs USA Match awards ceremony took place at Dinamo National Olympic Stadium on 10 September, BelTA reports.

Belarus Sport and Tourism Minister Sergei Kovalchuk awarded the Cup to Team Europe.

The awards ceremony also featured President of the European Athletics Association Svein Arne Hansen and Chairman of the Belarusian Athletics Federation Vadim Devyatovsky.

The first-ever Europe vs USA athletics match took place at Dinamo Stadium in Minsk on 9-10 September. More than 300 athletes took part in the event. Fourteen Belarusian athletes, who were part of Team Europe, made a significant contribution to the overall victory. Maksim Nedasekau (high jump), and Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova (long jump) proved to be the best in their sports. Hanna Malyshik (hammer throw) and Tatsiana Khaladovich (javelin throw) were the runner-ups.
